St John's College Nottingham wishes to erect a new Learning Resource Centre (LRC) at its existing campus site at Chilwell Lane/Peache Way, Bramcote.
The LRC will contain a new library facility over two floors with a total capacity of approximately 75,000 books and will give the College an expansion capacity of at least 10 years. It will also provide temperature controlled storage for antiquarian books in addition to study and reading areas. These proposals will also create a new entrance and reception area for St John's College and tranquil open air courtyard. Read more
A pre-planning application public engagement exhibition will be held on Thursday, 23rd February 2012 and Saturday, 25th February 2012 at St John's College in Bramcote and details of the proposals and exhibition material can be viewed here.
The proposals will be the subject of a Planning Application in due course which, it is anticipated, will be submitted to Broxtowe Borough Council in late March, 2012.

Creswell Park, Creswell Grove (Adj. To M6 J14), Creswell, Stafford: Proposed Mixed Use Development
Strawson Holdings Limited is proposing to develop the land south of Creswell Grove and west of M6 Junction 14. The proposals will be the subject of a Planning Application which is likely to be submitted to Stafford Borough Council early in 2012. Read more
A public engagement exhibition was held on Saturday, 19th November and Tuesday, 22nd November 2011 at Tillington Manor Primary School in Stafford and details of the proposal and exhibition materials can be viewed here.
The Proposal is for the mixed use development of the Creswell Grove Site. Among the complementary uses that are likely to be proposed in the Planning Application are:
- A family public house
- A lodge hotel
- A small convenience supermarket and two lock-up shops
- A day nursery
- A drive-through coffee shop
- A community hall
- Professional consulting rooms
- A nursing home
- Small office units
- Small commercial units (workshops/trade counters etc.)
together with ancillary car parking and generous landscaped (public and private) open space and enhanced bio-diversity areas.

Former Scarlet Pimpernel Public House Site (and car park), Tennal Road, Harborne
Taylor Grange Ltd has plans to redevelop the former Scarlet Pimpernel Public House site at Tennal Road, Harborne, Birmingham. The proposals will form two simultaneously submitted Planning Applications to Birmingham City Council. Read more
A public engagement exhibition was held on Thursday, 24th November and Saturday, 26th November 2011 at the former Scarlet Pimpernel site and details of the proposals and exhibition materials for both of these schemes can be viewed here.
The Planning Applications are for:
- Demolition of Former Scarlet Pimpernel Public House and Erection of Six Dwellings
- Erection of Three Retail Units on part of former Pub Car Park at corner of Northfield Road and Tennal Road, Harborne.

Hardstaffs Group, Gotham Road, Kingston-on-Soar: Proposed redevelopment for Dual-Fuel Technology International Centre of Excellence
Hardstaffs Group is proposing to redevelop its existing group headquarters and main operating complex. The proposals, which will be the subject of a Planning Application likely to be submitted to Rushcliffe Borough Council early in 2012. Read more
A public engagement exhibition was held on Thursday, 8th and Saturday, 10th December 2011 at the Hillside site and details of the proposals and public exhibition materials can be viewed here.
Hardstaffs Group, which has become a world leader in the development and application of dual-fuel (diesel/LNG) technology to (heavy) goods and public service vehicles, is proposing to redevelop its existing main operating complex at Kingston-on-Soar into a Centre of Excellence of international importance. The proposed new facility will include: Research and Development facilities, both for the Hardstaffs own dual-fuel technology and for complementary / related / spin-off technologies, business, academic and research institutions; Vehicle Conversion and Vehicle Conversion Training; a Training, Meeting and Conference venue; and, residential accommodation for trainees and visiting executives. The development, which will also include on-site renewable energy generation and ancillary car parking, will be laid out as a high technology campus with high quality sustainable buildings and landscaping and enhanced biodiversity. To facilitate the development, certain existing operations, including Hardstaffs' long-established haulage business, are to be relocated away from the Kingston-on-Soar site.
